I tried using a wet-dry vacuum myself for 16 hours and pulled probably 40-50 gallons of water out, but it was still soggy and starting to smell. I realized that I couldn’t do it myself. I called Doctor Steam and Ron was at my house within an hour. He set up fans to dry the carpet and came back twice (always on time) to check their positioning and apply disinfectant. A week later the carpet was like new with no evidence of the flood, for a fraction of what I thought I would have to pay for flood restoration. Ron even put all the furniture back where it had been, including a table full of my kids’ Lego creations without knocking any of the Legos over. This service was above and beyond.
